How to brush your teeth
Proper technique for brushing your teeth to maintain oral hygiene and keep your teeth healthy.
1.
Take a toothbrush and squeeze a pea-sized amount of toothpaste onto the bristles.
2.
(Optional) Wet the toothbrush slightly with water.
3.
Place the toothbrush against your teeth at a 45-degree angle to the gums.
4.
Gently move the brush in small circles or back-and-forth strokes on the surfaces of your teeth.
5.
Brush all sides of each tooth (outer, inner, and chewing surfaces), spending about two minutes total.
6.
Spit out the toothpaste foam into the sink when you are finished brushing.
7.
Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out.
8.
Rinse the toothbrush with water and store it upright to dry.
